(MENAFNEditorial) The Recycling Today Media Group and Media Fusion have selected Dubai as the host city for the 2014 edition of the Middle East Metals Recycling Conference, to take place 2-3 March, 2014.
The event will be held at the JW Marriott Marquis hotel in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is again being organised on a joint venture basis by Dubai-based Media Fusion, the publisher of Waste & Recycling Middle East magazine, and the United States-based Recycling Today Media Group. Corporate sponsors are again lining up to support the event, as are regional associations including the Bureau of Middle East Recyclers (BMR) and the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association Recycling Metal Branch (CMRA).
"We're thrilled to cooperate with the team at Waste & Recycling Middle East to again offer this event for the active metals recycling and trading community in the Middle East," says Jim Keefe, Group Publisher of the Recycling Today Media Group.
The 2014 version of the event will offer sessions examining commodity markets for scrap metal in a global context, including copper, aluminum, ferrous, stainless steel, precious metal and electronic scrap; updates on customs and regulatory issues affecting traders and shippers; and presentations on processing methods and techniques in the scrap industry.
New in 2014 is an End-of-Life Vehicle (ELV) Workshop, taking place the afternoon of March 3. The half-day workshop is being designed to provide local insights in a global context on the ELV recycling process as it pertains to auto salvage and scrap metal professionals, vehicle manufacturers and battery and component suppliers to the auto repair sector.
The two media organisations also collaborate each year on Paper & Plastics Recycling Conference – Middle East, which debuted in 2012. The third version of that conference will take place 4-5 March 2014, also at the JW Marriott Marquis in Dubai.
"We are again looking forward to offering metals, paper and plastic traders, processors and consumers an outstanding event in the easily accessible and vibrant city of Dubai," says Dr. Kayyum Ali, CEO of Media Fusion.
