(MENAFNEditorial) The Khimji Ramdas Group chose to be ambassadors for the environment at the second ECO Bowl tournament conducted recently by the Environment Society of Oman (ESO). The group registered its support by making a generous donation and actively participating in the event.
Through its presence and participation, the KR Group hoped to raise awareness on environment issues and champion the cause for a better planet. "Our presence at the ESO bowling tournament reinforces our commitment to the Environment Society of Oman and other local initiatives as well as upholds our role as responsible corporate citizens," said Nailesh Khimji, Director, Khimji Ramdas.
Speaking on behalf of the company, he said it was an honour to have 'ambassadors' from the KR Group supporting the ESO in their endeavours. "Our team was present as environment captains to help bring in consciousness within the company and execute environment related projects," he added.
All funds raised during the event will go towards The Environment Society of Oman. This year ESO is largely focusing on increasing volunteerism and recruiting ambassadors within higher education institutions. Much effort is also directed at educating young Omanis in the field of environment conservation, said, a representative of the Environmental Society of Oman.
