US consumer spending up 0.5 percent in Nov.


(MENAFN) The US Commerce Department said that the consumer spending last month increased, Xinhua reported. A report released by the department shows that consumer spending went up 0.5 percent in November, higher than October's 0.4 percent increase. Personal income in the country went up 0.2 percent last month, following slump of 0.1 percent in the month before it. Consumer spending in the US accounts for nearly 70 percent of its economic activity.
