Britain's John Lewis registers 4.2 percent rise in sales


(MENAFN) Revenue of John Lewis, Britain's biggest department store group, has seen a significant rise in sales of 4.2 percent year-on-year, reaching USD268.88 million last week, according to Gulf Daily News. Christmas trading alone could raise its sales up to 9.7 percent during the last week. The group's sales in fashion department boosted by 3.3 percent year-on-year, that retailers attributed to the sale of children's clothing and toys.
