Mexican president opens oil industry to foreign investment


(MENAFN) The Mexican president signed a controversial law that opened the country"s oil industry for foreign investments, The Peninsula reported. The new bill modifies three articles of the Latin American country"s constitution, and aims at drawing foreign investment to the oil industry for the first times in 75 years. The president said that this is "one of the most transcendent bills in the past half-century," adding that the bill will cause fast growth and create jobs for citizens.
