Oman signs Open Skies Agreement with US


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) H E Greta C Holtz, the US Ambassador to Oman, and Eng Salim al Aufi, CEO of Oman's Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) on Thursday signed the bilateral Open Skies Agreement.

The agreement will allow unrestricted air service to both countries between and beyond each other's territory, eliminating government restrictions on how often the carriers fly, the kind of aircraft they use, and the prices they charge. 

H E Greta said, ''I am delighted to sign Oman's first ever Open Skies Agreement. It demonstrates the Omani government's commitment to open up

Oman's aviation sector to ensure more connections, greater investment, enhanced competition, and better service for travellers.''

Eng Aufi said, ''We are interested in pursuing as many Open Skies agreements as possible in order to elevate Muscat as a global logistics and passenger hub.'' <
