(MENAFN - Qatar News Agency) Lu&Lu Hypermarket, the largest operator of retail outlets in the region has launched a British Food Festival on Dec 18 and the inaugural ceremony was conducted at their Al Qurain outlet. His Excellency Frank Baker OBE, Her Majesty's Ambassador to the State of Kuwait, inaugurated the Food Festival at 11am, Mohamed Haris, Regional Director, Sreejith K.S, Regional Manager, Martin Daly, Operations Manager, Abdul Samad, Commercial Manager and other top officials of Lu&Lu management were present in this occasion.
The British Food Festival 2013, which has by now become an eagerly awaited annual event, will celebrate the best of British food. Besides fresh Dairy and Bakery products, among the highlight of this year's festival will be the display of ethical and organic produce, which is gaining popularity with many consumers, as well as health from Britain.

The range and variety of delectable and diverse food products that will be on offer during the festival period will showcase the high-quality of British foods. Moreover, many of these products also address the growing environmental and sustainability concerns of customers. The opening of a dedicated procurement office in Birmingham ensures that the Hypermarket not only sources the highest quality British foods, but also that they are delivered to their outlets across the region in a speedy and timely manner. With consignments of fresh Dairy and Bakery products brought in by air, frozen goods arriving by sea and the range of British grocery products on their shelves constantly being replenished, the Hypermarket currently accounts for a large portion of British retail exports to the region. The British Food Festival 2013 will be yet another instance where Lu&Lu Hypermarket demonstrates their market insight by providing customers with what they want and when they want it, with the clear focus of consolidating their retail dominance in the region.
