(MENAFN - Qatar News Agency) RasGas Company Limited (RasGas) celebrated Qatar National Day with their employees in Doha, Ras Laffan, offshore and at its offices in South Korea and Japan, under the theme, "Qatar is our source of pride our pride is in our hearts." In support of Qatar National Day celebrations, a giant billboard celebrating the pride of Qatar was displayed on the RasGas headquarters in Doha.

"In RasGas, we celebrate Qatar National Day with great pride in the accomplishments and achievements made in developing the State of Qatar's economy and people of Qatar under the wise leadership of our beloved HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani and HH Father Emir, Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani

A key corporate focus for the continued success of RasGas isthe development of our employees and in particular the professional development of nationals and currently over 34 percent of RasGas employees are Qataris

The company was recently awarded the Qatar Petroleum Qatarization Crystal Award in recognition of the company's training and development initiatives for Qatari nationals and the broader education sector

As part of its Qatarization programme RasGas offers a number of local and international scholarships and training programmes for high school graduates as well as a myriad of professional development and training programmes for its employees

In addition, RasGas pursues an active Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme contributing to the social welfare and development of the local community in Qatar

The RasGas Qatar National Day celebrations follow the inauguration of Helium 2 project on 11.12.13, making Qatar the world's largest exporter of helium and the second largest producer

RasGas is also on schedule with another mega project, the Barzan Gas Project, which will fuel future infrastructure developments in alignment with the Qatar National Vision 2030.
