Peru privatizes 49 percent of its oil company


(MENAFN) Peru"s state oil company will privatize up to 49 percent of Petroperu by share offerings on the local stock market, according to Gulf News. The state plans to modernize Petroperu and expand its refining capacity, said Energy Minister. Jorge Merino said: "The bill would allow Petroperu to use private capital to increase efficiency and quality."
