Sayyid Fahd leads Omani side in talks with Comoros delegation


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Bilateral talks were held between Oman and the Comoros at the headquarters of the Council of Ministers in Muscat on Monday, with the Omani side being led by H?H?Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers.

The Comoros side was led by President Dr Ikililou Dhoinine, who expressed his joy and appreciation on visiting Oman and being hosted by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said.

Dr Dhoinine praised the outcome of his meeting with His Majesty the Sultan and said that it would have a positive impact on people from both countries. The President also commended the achievements made by Oman in the domestic and global levels.

Sayyid Fahd reviewed cooperation between the two countries and the efforts made to promote them.

Sayyid Fahd also stressed on aspects that enhance bilateral ties and the mechanisms for their implementation. The meeting touched on a number of issues of mutual interest.

From the Omani side, the talks were attended by the Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs, Minister of Justice, Minister of Education, Secretary General of the Council of Ministers, Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, Minister of Information, Assistant Secretary General of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers and the Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Planning and head of the mission of honour for Dr Dhoinine.

From the Comoros side, the talks were also attended by the wife of the President and members of the official delegation accompanying Dr Dhoinine.

Meanwhile, Dr Dhoinine and his wife also visited the new building of the Council of Oman.
