Japan, Southeast Asia to strengthen economic ties


(MENAFN) Japan and Southeast Asian countries have announced their plans of strengthening economic relations, according to Oman Observer. The two parties discussed increasing exchanges of top diplomats and defense officials. Japan's capital will offer USD20 billion in aids and loans to Southeast Asia, officials said in a three-day special summit between Japan and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
