As per the MoUs, Dubai Municipality and Empower will work to reduce carbon emissions in its buildings and facilities, thus reducing their carbon footprint. This is in line with the Green Economy for Sustainable Development initiative launched by His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
Shaikh Ahmed - who is also President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Emirates airline and Chief Executive of the Emirates Group - launched the new website that enables public access to the site through their smartphones.
