Oman crude production inches down in November


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) The sultanate's crude oil and condensates production in November this year amounted to 28.51mn barrels, an average of 950,495 barrels a day (bpd), down 0.28 per cent from October, according to the monthly report of the Ministry of Oil and Gas.

The report added that total crude oil exports fell 3.35 per cent in November to 23.29mn barrels from a month earlier.  

In November, the average price of WTI crude was US$94.26 per barrel, which was down US$6.29 from the previous month while the North Sea (Brent) basket averaged US$107.86 per barrel, which declined US$1.58 from October. 

The Dubai Mercantile Exchange's Oman Crude Oil Future contract also witnessed price fluctuations. Trading averaged between US$102.41 and US$109.09 per barrel. The official price for the January 2014 delivery eventually settled at US$105.97 per barrel.
