Qatar to Send Aid Assistance to Gaza Strip and Syria /Correction/


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani has instructed competent authorities to urgently provide the Gaza Strip with a 32 million dollars' worth of fuel. This is in order to address the difficult conditions in the Gaza Strip due to snowstorms and the stoppage of Gaza's power plant after running out of fuel. HH the Emir also ordered sending of urgent aid and relief materials amounting to 28 million dollars to the Strip to help them deal with extreme cold-weather conditions. HH the Emir also ordered sending of urgent relief materials amounting to 60 million dollars in support of the Syrian people to help them cope with the difficult conditions and extreme cold. An official source from the Foreign Ministry in a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA) said the aid was sent out of the State of Qatar's sense of duty towards our brothers in Palestine and Syria.
