US House of Representatives authorizes USD600m Pentagon budget


(MENAFN) The US House of Representatives passed a compromise Defense Authorization bill, agreeing on a USD600 billion budget for the Defense Department in 2014, Xinhua reported. The budget authorizes USD552.1 billion for Pentagon's baseline budget, and an additional USD80.7 billion for foreign military operations. The spending level authorized in the bill goes with what the Pentagon is asking, and is nearly at the same level last year's defense budget was.
