Car sales in Philippines increase 16.2 percent in 11 months.


(MENAFN) Car sales in the Philippine increased 16.2 percent in the first 11 months of the year hitting 164,098 units, Xinhua reported. The Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines (CAMPI)said that car sales in the period have already exceeded the 156,649 units sold last year. Month-on0month however, sales last month dropped 5.3 percent following a typhoon strucking central Philippines. CAMPI President said: "All existing dealerships in central Philippines especially (in Eastern Visayas) suffered heavy losses due to typhoon Haiyan."
