China to stop duties on U.S. auto imports


(MENAFN) The Chinese Ministry of Commerce (MOC) announced that it will stop anti-dumping duties on cars imported from the US, Xinhua reported. The anti-dumping duties lift will include sedans and sport utility vehicles with engines of 2.5 liters and above. Since December 2011, car importers have been required to set aside deposits with Chinese customs ranging from 2 percent to 12.9 percent, based on the level of dumping and subsidies the US car makers from the US government.
