UAE to add 29 million passengers by 2017

(MENAFN) The International Air Transport Association (IATA) forecasted that UAE, through its carriers Emirates and Etihad, will add 29.2 million passengers until 2017, Arabian Business reported. IATA's director general and CEO said: "The fact that the Asia-Pacific region - led by China - and the Middle East will deliver the strongest growth over the forecast period is not surprising." The emerging economies of the Middle East will see the strongest international passenger growth with compound annual growth rate of 6.3percent.
