(MENAFN) The US is set to export 26 million tons of soybeans to China in the period from September 2013 to August 2014, Xinhua reported.
The US Soybean Export Council said that the amount will mark a record for China in importing soybeans.
In the said period, China will import 70 million tons of soybeans and produce 15 million domestically.
The council's chief representative in China stated that the amount is a demonstration of China's powerful buying power.
