(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) HE the Minister of Finance Ali Shareef Al-Emadi has said that the State of Qatar has smoothly surpassed the global financial crisis and its repercussions during the past few years , noting that the state is currently witnessing and enjoying a solid financial situation and highly performamce to sustain economic growth .
Speaking at the opening session of the Euromoney Qatar Conference 2013 , HE Al-Emadi reaffirmed that the next phase will witness the construction of a large number of grand large infrastructure projects in the framework of the sustainable development process as well as preparations for hosting the World Cup football in 2022
He stressed that the fiscal policy development process will focus on supporting these projects through utilization of available efficiency and balancing between the costs and outcomes and coordinating projects to avoid pressure on services and public utilities in addition to controlling inflation .
HE Al-Emadi added that the fiscal policy will focus on providing financial support for projects productivity in non-oil sectors in the process of diversifying the economy and expanding the contribution of non-oil sectors in GDP and economic growth in the state.
He further said that fiscal policy will also seek to strengthen the role of the private sector in the implementation of these projects and to diversify the country's economic performance through coordination between the government and private institutions and to avoid competition between the two sides in addition to removing obstacles and prevent monopoly .
He stressed that the support of the private sector will play a role in the increased rates of new jobs and qualifying and preparing the youth and graduates to work in the competitive business environment that relies on the competence , experience and global standards for assessing the performance.
