UK manufacturing up 0.4 percent in Oct.


(MENAFN) Manufacturing and industrial production in the UK increased in October, but the country's trade deficit was disappointing, Xinhua reported. The industrial production in the country registered the second consecutive monthly increase in October as manufacturing output went up 0.4 percent from September. HSBC British economist said: "While domestic consumption has been driving growth, investment remains depressed and it is far from certain that consumers can continue to increase spending without taking on more debt."
