(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) Younis al Rawahi beat top seed Nevil Philip 9-5 in the U18 boys event of the fifth monthly junior tournament, organised by the Oman Tennis Association, at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Centre from December 5-7.

A total of 60 players (boys and girls) including players from the Quriyat and Majees clubs took part in the event in the U10, U12, U14 girls, U14 boys doubles and U18 singles categories.

Salman al Balushi, OTA executive manager gave away the prizes to the winners.

Other results (finals): U10 open: Muneer al Rawahi beat Ayaan Malhotra 9-0; U12 boys: Ali al Sarhani beat Avigyan Bhattacharya 9-8; U14 girls: Rafaella Saa beat Yashica Jain 9-4; U14 boys doubles: Younis al Rawahi & Abdullah al Barwani beat Kenneth Vaz & Subash Pillai 6-3, 6-4.
