(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Eight-time His Majesty's Cup winner, Fanja Club, has been pooled along with former champion Al Jaish of Syria, Nejmeh of Lebanon and defending champion Kuwait SC or Al Arabi of Kuwait in the group stages of the 2014 AFC Cup following Tuesday's draw in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The other team from Oman will be either Al Suwaiq or Saham in Group A.
Jordanian debutant That Ras and Safa from Lebanon, in addition to the winner of the playoff between Tajik League champion Ravshan and Al Yarmouk of Yemen, are the other teams in the pool.
Saham is Oman's standby to take the place should Suwaiq progress to the ACL.
