(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) BankDhofar takes its ongoing mission to maximise employee potential to the next level with the introduction of convenient e-learning courses. The online courses conducted at BankDhofar Academy for all employees cover a wide range of topics that focus on personal development, cultivating leadership and interpersonal skills, stress management and fostering a positive mindset among employees.
''The main idea is to create an atmosphere of awareness and learning within the bank, since we are aim to serve our customers beyond their needs. The courses, therefore, will enable employees to improve their skills in day-to-day operations and enhance their performance as professionals and people,'' said Nasib Salim Nasib al Mamari, acting- AGM, human resources, BankDhofar. ''That being the underlying principle the online training courses is consistent with the bank's overall goal to set new benchmarks in the industry by offering stellar products and unmatched client care,'' he added.
The multidimensional e-learning courses will be conducted over a period of six months, from December to May 2014. During this time, candidates will be instructed and initiated into a broad spectrum of topics that are divided into ten courses. The courses concentrate on leadership essentials, receiving and contributing feedback and interpersonal communication. Then candidates move on to other subjects such as enabling positivity at the workplace, leading teams, conflict and stress management, personal accountability and critical thinking.
''We have found that these areas are the foundation for any successful business, and as a bank driven by customer service we want our employees to be competent and caring with a firm grasp of all-round personal development,'' Mamari added. Drawing analogies from the ecourse's curriculum, he explains how each section is designed to help employees find confidence in themselves while inspiring confidence in the client. ''The course on leadership teaches on how to lead ethically and effectively while the subject on communication teaches balance in the way employees express themselves.'' he said.
It may be noted that BankDhofar for the second year running has been awarded the prestigious Omanisation award from the Ministry of Manpower for their demonstrated commitment to their Omani staff by capacity building and development of skills. Given they are one of the main assets of the bank, several programs and initiatives have been launched internally to increase participation and feedback which further reinforced the induction programme, developmental programs for women and the launch of the BankDhofar Academy. These programs serve as the foundation in strengthening each member of staff capabilities and potential in becoming the leaders of tomorr
