(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Four Egyptians were charred to death and two others, including an Omani woman, were injured in a crash involving a mini bus, a water tanker and a pick-up vehicle, in Al Wusta Jazir wilayat on Tuesday morning.
An ROP official said the water tanker on the Heetam-Al Jazir road veered off its lane and hit an approaching mini bus. The pick-up behind crashed into the bus resulting in both vehicles catching fire.
''The bus and the pick-up caught fire and four Egyptian passengers of the bus were charred to death on the spot while a fifth passenger and the Omani woman driver of the pick-up were injured,'' he said.
''The injured were taken to the Al Jazir Hospital and later shifted to Sultan Qaboos University Hospital in Salalah,'' he added.<
