Peru to privatize 49 percent of its oil company


(MENAFN) A top official said that Peru's state oil company plans to privatize 49 per cent of Petroperu through share offerings on the local stock market, according to Gulf News. The offering will be under a bill expected to be submitted over the following months in the congress. Energy minister Jorge Merino said: "The bill would allow Petroperu to use private capital to increase efficiency and quality."
