Japan to allocate USD1.34b to improve employment


(MENAFN) Japan is planning to invest USD1.34 billion to improve employment in a bid to improve the country's economy, Xinhua reported. Officials at the ministry of labor were quoted as saying that creating jobs for women, youths and the aged, increasing wages and improving labor conditions for non-regular employees are the measures to be taken to achieve the goal. The ministry planned to allocate USD8.5 billion in the extra budget, of which USD3.3 billion will be for welfare benefits to low-income people and USD1.4 billion in benefits to child-raising households.
