Kuwait - 100 Kgs Of Drugs Seized


(MENAFN- Arab Times) A Bedoun was arrested for trying to smuggle one hundred kilograms of hashish, worth hundreds of thousands of Kuwaiti dinars, into the country. Acting on a tip-off, the Drug Control General Department (DCGD) formed a team of officers tasked to intercept the smuggling operation. The informant revealed the suspect intended to smuggle a huge quantity of drugs into the country through the sea. The department coordinated with the Coast Guard to observe the ports for a week until the suspect was arrested. He admitted to trafficking in drugs and told the officers that he obtained the drugs from an unknown supplier. He was then referred to the concerned security department, along with the contraband, for the necessary legal action. The operation was carried out under the guidance of Deputy Premier and Interior Minister Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled Al- Sabah and Undersecretary Lieutenant General Ghazi Al-Omar with the supervision of Assistant Undersecretary for Criminal Evidence Affairs Major General Abdul Hameed Al-Awadi and Management Department Director Brigadier Saleh Al-Ghanam
