Jotun Inaugrates New Warehouse and Sales Office in Dammam in Line With Its Greensteps Program


(MENAFNEditorial) As part of its expansion program to meet future growth, Jotun Saudi Arabia, the Kingdom's number one paint manufacturer, has opened a new warehouse and sales office in the Eastern Province. The opening ceremony on November 26, 2013 was attended by His Excellency the Ambassador for Norway to KSA Mr. Carl Wibye who performed the ribbon-cutting in the presence of Jotun Saudi Management and Board Members. Speaking at the event, His Excellency said: "It is with pleasure that I declare this superb new warehouse open. This is a great day for relations between our two countries – a day on which we celebrate our bonds of friendship with Saudi Arabia where Jotun has enjoyed a productive presence of almost three decades." The new warehouse and sales office are based on total area of 5760 M2. The warehouse has a capacity of storing up to one million litres of paint and the staff can dispatch up to 100,000 litres per day in one shift. Safety measures include an advanced firefighting system equipped with a high expansion Hot Foam system. In the event of fire the warehouse will be filled with foam within 3 minutes. The entire warehouse is solar powered and for the ceiling Jotun has used a Roof Sandwich Panel system to make it weather resistant. Commenting on the reason for the new warehouse, David Wright, Managing Director, Jotun Saudia, said: "We see huge potential for future growth in the Eastern Province where we have spread our wings to meet the increasing market demand, especially from key customers such as ARAMCO, SABIC, and Jubail & Yanbu Royal Commission. With our new warehouse and sales office we are strongly positioned to satisfy customers quicker and more efficiently, with deliveries further facilitated by the strategic location that gives us easy access to all routes within the Kingdom and GCC countries in compliance with our Closer To Consumer strategy." Pointing out the unique features of the new warehouse, Mr. Wright went on to say: "The warehouse is state-of-the-art in every respect and fully embodies the environmental values and energy-saving efforts of the Jotun GreenSteps program, our roadmap to a sustainable world and better future."
