Australian airline Qantas registers USD271 m losses


(MENAFN) Losses of Australian airline Qantas reached USD271 million during the last six months, and plans to cut 1,000 jobs, according to Qatar News Agency. The airlines' losses resulted from the rise in fuel costs, as the Chief executive Alan Joyce said. Joyce and the Qantas board will cut pays, ban bonuses, and salaries of all other executives will be frozen.
