Kuwait - Securitymen Arrest 354 People During Sulaibiya, Wafra Swoop


(MENAFN- Arab Times) Security Forces arrested 354 individuals during intensive security campaigns that they launched in Sulaibiya and Wafra under the directives of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khalid and guidance of the Undersecretary of Ministry of Interior Lt General Ghazi Al-Omar. According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Interior, the security campaigns, which were held under the supervision of Assistant Undersecretary for Immigration Affairs Brigadier Ghazi Al-Mae, targeted the violators of residency law and individuals wanted by law. The arrested individuals were found in livestock pens and the vegetable market in Wafra area as well as near the vegetable market in Sulaibiya area. They were referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against them. The campaigns involved traffic patrol teams, Special Forces, general police teams as well as a team from the Media Security Department of the Ministry of Interior. Meanwhile, Media Security Department affirmed that the concerned security authorities will continue organizing security and traffic campaigns throughout the country particularly in areas with high number of marginalized workers as well as those wanted by law.
