(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) The Qatar Petroleum Research and Technology Centre (QPRTC) recently participated in the Qatar Foundation Annual Research Conference 2013 (ARC '13), which was held last November 24-25 at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC).
QPRTC's research projects involve local and international universities, international oil companies, science institutes and technology providers
The center's research themes are mainly focused on oil and gas subsurface and surface in exploration and production activities, according to a press release issued here on Saturday
The projects showcased at the ARC' 13 included research into new technologies for enhanced well injectivity and productivity, characterizing oil reservoirs with the fingerprinting technique, improving water management for the environment, and investigating storage of carbon dioxide (CO2)
QPRTC also presented its commitment to social responsibility with its project related to vehicle tyre safety, the purpose of which is to reduce the number of fatal road accidents due to the failure of tyres
