US economy expands 3.6 percent
(MENAFN) The US Commerce Department reported that the country"s economy registered growth in the July-September period of this year, Xinhua reported.
The department said that the economic growth in the period before the government shutdown was at 3.6 percent.
The growth in the US economy was cited to the increase in private inventories and residential fixed investment.
