Chinese tourists spending soars in UK


(MENAFN) Chinese tourists" spending in Britain increased in the first half of 2013, as the British government is planning a campaign to draw more Chinese visitors, Xinhua reported. Official statistics show that Chinese visitors in spent USD296 million in the first six months of 2013, registering a 132 percent increase from the same period last year. The British Culture Secretary said that the country will launch a campaign in 2014 showing how Britain caters for Chinese visitors" needs.
