Australia's economy grows 0.6 percent, less than expected

(MENAFN) Australia's economy grew 0.6 percent in the current year's third quarter and 2.3 percent year-on-year, according to Oman Observer. However, figures of the Australian Bureau of Statistics didn't match expectations, as it expected 0.8 percent for the mentioned quarter and 2.6 percent year-on-year. Treasurer Joe Hockey, an analyst at the Australian Bureau of Statistics, commented: "The fact is the economy is stuck in second gear."
