UAE's Arabtec wins USD1.2b hospital deal


(MENAFN) Dubai-based Arabtec Construction has been awarded with a USD1.2 billion contract to construct a hospital in Abu Dhabi, Arabian Business reported. Al-Ain Hospital will be spread over a 358,000 square meters and will be comprised of a main hospital building and a central morgue in addition to a mosque, a center for logistics services, a power station with a capacity of 60MW and underground parking. The CEO of the The Abu Dhabi General Services (Musanada), which signed the contract with a consortium consisting of Arabtec Construction and Constructora San Jose SA - Abu Dhabi, said: "The new hospital will provide integrated medical services to the people of Al Ain City in accordance with the latest international standards and practices in the field of health facilities."
