(MENAFN) Secretary of Iran Foodex 2013 Show in Tehran said exports of food products reach USD1.5 billion in Iran every year, according to Iran Daily.
Figures are expected to show growth to reach USD5 billion as part of the country's goals, said Zeinolabedin Hashemi.
Hashemi said: "Some 10,000 food processing units operate across the country. The country exported 395,000 tons of food products worth USD640 million during March 21-Aug. 21, 2013 to provincial states."
