During the meeting
(MENAFN Press) HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), received a delegation from Swiss engineering firm ABB, which is part of a series of visits from major global companies. The delgation included Carlo Poe, CEO of ABB UAE and Head of Southern Gulf & Pakistan and Mohamed Al Marzooqi, Executive Vice President for Strategic Partners at ABB.

The aim of this visit is to promote collaboration between DEWA and ABB, to share expertise in the fields of energy and smart grid solutions, and ABB's focus on building closer ties with DEWA for their mutual benefit.

ABB will participate in the Water, Energy, Technology and Environment (WETEX 2014) as a Strategic Sponsor. WETEX 2014 will be held in conjunction with the World Green Economy Summit 2014 on 14-16 April 2014 at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

ABB's delegation briefed Al Tayer about the services it provides as Dubai is one of its most important markets.
At the end of the visit, the delegation thanked Al Tayer for the warm welcome and for closely briefing them about DEWA's activities and projects. They also thanked Al Tayer for the invitation to participate in both WETEX 2014 and the World Green Economy Summit 2014.
