Consumer confidence in US recovers

(MENAFN) A poll by Gallup shows that consumer confidence in the US recovered last month, but was still less than it was before the government shutdown, Xinhua reported. The Economic Confidence Index increased to -25 last month, which is up from -35 in the month before it, but still below the -19 registered in September. The poll said: "The October government shutdown profoundly affected Americans' economic confidence, and even more than a month after it ended, their confidence has not yet fully recovered."
