(MENAFN - Qatar News Agency) Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) will celebrate the National Day, which falls on December 18, with a number of events to be held over five days starting from December 15.
QTA Chairman Issa Bin Mohammed Al Mohannadi, in a press statement today, said that the Authority will organize its events in collaboration with the Organizing Committee of the National Day.
Al Mohannadi said: "The National Day is an occasion for all to recognize and celebrate the actions of Qatar's founder who along with Qatari tribes created a unified nation
The day underlines the identity and history of the country as well as embodying its ideals and aspirations."
He added that the QTA will set up tents in Darb Al Sai area and Corniche where information on tourism will be provided to visitors, adding that QTA will have eight points along the Corniche to receives queries, and will also launch the second phase of "My Qatar" initiative which was launched last October
