(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Construction of the border fence between Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula has been completed after three and a half years, (The Jerusalem Post) reported Wednesday citing Israel's Channel 2. 230 kilometers of the fence were built in two years, while the remaining 15 kilometers took a year and a half, due to difficult terrain conditions.
The fence was built in order to stop the flow of African migrants sneaking into Israel from Sudan and Eritrea.
