Consumer spending drops 3.9 percent in US Black Friday


(MENAFN) United States-based Black Friday weekend registered the first drop in spending since 2009, lower than expected, according to Bloomberg. Sales at actual and online stores saw a 2.9 percent drop reaching 57.4 billion in four days since November 28 Thanksgiving holiday. Purchasers at stores reached 141 million, a rise in number of more than 2 million compared to 2012. However, average of consumer spending fell 3.9 percent reaching USD407.02.
