(MENAFN) UAE's Etisalat may resume talks to sell its telecom arm in Sudan, Canar, to Kuwait-based Zain, The Peninsula reported.
Acquiring Canar, which is the leading fixed-line carrier in Sudan, would be key for Zain's strategy to go beyond providing mobile services in the country.
Talks between the two companies came to a halt early this year as Etisalat believed other companies might be interest in Canar and hoped for a better price.kuw
