(MENAFN- The Peninsula) The Qatar Chamber (QC) yesterday welcomed the visiting Portuguese businessmen to invest in the country for its future development.
While welcoming a trade delegates headed by the Portuguese Deputy Minister of Economy, Pedro Goncalves, QC Vice-Chairman Mohammed Ahmed T Al Kawari said: "We welcome more companies for the development of the local market. The chamber extends full support to the Portuguese businessmen to explore and set up business in Qatar and there is huge development work possibilities related to the World Cup 2022."
Goncalves, while acknowledging the great response to the Portuguese delegates from the Qatari businessmen, said though the two countries have already established strong bilateral political relations, the time has come to develop economic relations between the two countries.
Goncalves said his team is looking for right partners in banking, construction, engineering, healthcare, software and other IT-related services in Qatar.
The two sides also discussed trade relations between the two nations and ways to establish partnerships in various sectors.
