Qatari Businessmen Meet Portuguese Trade Delegation


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Qatari businessmen met Monday at Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI) headquarters with a Portuguese trade delegation led by Secretary of State of Innovation, Investment And Competitiveness Pedro Goncalves and a number of Portuguese businessmen. They discussed bilateral trade relations and means to enhance them, investment opportunities available and the possibility of establishing partnerships between Qatari businessmen and their Portuguese counterparts Goncalves praised the economic renaissance in the State of Qatar, noting that Portuguese companies were looking to invest in Qatar and take part in the country's massive projects in infra-structure and World Cup 2022 He stressed that economic relations will help enhance the already-strong bilateral political relations between both countries For his part, QCCI Vice Chairman Mohammed bin Towar Al Kuwari welcomed the delegation and acknowledged that Qatar's economic renaissance has turned it into a country attractive for investment He said that Qatari companies were ready to cooperate with its Portuguese counterparts in different trade fields Al Kuwari also recognized that Portugal's technological expertise can help it make an important addition to the Qatari market The Portuguese delegation covered different sectors including banking, technology, construction, investment, energy, engineering and medical equipment.
