50 firms exhibit products at IMTEX Oman 2013


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) As many as 50 firms from over ten countries are exhibiting their products at IMTEX Oman 2013, which is being held from December 2 to 4.

IMTEX Oman, the sultanate's foremost trade fair focuses on industrial machinery and hardware solutions for technology-driven sectors of the economy.

It is being organised by Global Exhibitions and Conferences (GEC) and it is open from 11am to 7pm at the Oman International Exhibition Centre.

Speaking to media after the inauguration ceremony, the chief guest on the occasion, H E Ahmed Sulaiman Saleh al Maimani, Undersecretary for Administrative, Financial and Regional Affairs at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, said, ''The exhibition this year includes electronic and electrical equipment that were not available before, besides new construction equipment. The number of participants are also more this year.''

According to GEC, the successful launch of the second IMTEX Oman is an affirmation of the trade fair's broad appeal in showcasing the latest hardware innovations the world has to offer.

''IMTEX Oman is a platform for introducing a new generation of competitive and cost-effective solutions for the sultanate's rapidly diversifying industrial and economic base,'' C J Paul, chief executive officer, GEC, said.

Participating firms include those from the UAE, India, Portugal, Italy, Germany, China, Hong Kong and the UK. <
