(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Japanese industrial output climbed a seasonally adjusted 0.5% in October from the previous month, the government said Friday, citing preliminary figures.
The figures follow a 1.5-per-cent monthly rise in September, which was the first positive month-on-month result since July.
Consumer prices for the month were up 0.9 % from October 2012, the government said. Japan's government has deployed aggressive monetary easing measures this year to fight persistent deflation.
