(MENAFN) According to the first Cambodian Labor Force Survey, the jobless rate in the country last year came at 2.7 percent, Xinhua reported.
A number of 202,300 people aged 15 or older were unemployed in 2012, the survey carried out by the National Institute of Statistics and the International Labor Organization (ILO) revealed.
The survey also showed that the number of people in the country aged 15 or older comprise 72.2 percent of the country's total population.
ILO's employment specialist said: "Ninety-seven percent of them are employed. This gives an estimated current unemployment rate of 2.7 percent or about 202, 300 persons."
