Iran's Chamber of Industries calls for investments in mineral industry


(MENAFN) Iran's Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ICCIMA) said that the country's revenues can be doubled by mineral exports, and exceed revenues gained by oil, agriculture and tourism sectors, according to Iran Daily. The announcement was made by Kamran Vakili, secretary of the Iranian Producers and Exporters of Mineral Products Association in an interview. He added: "Iran's industrial exports did not exceed USD600 million last year, whereas the figure for Saudi Arabia amounted to USD70 billion." The secretary said that the country's revenues can be doubled if investments in mineral industries are made.
