Airport deals at USD9b awarded in Brazil


(MENAFN) Two of Brazil's busiest airports were opened for investors as it awarded contracts worth USD9 billion in preparation for the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 Olympics, The Peninsula reported. The contracts will lead private companies to run the airports in the two cities, Rio de Janeiro and Belo Horizonte, hosting the World Cup next year. The President's civil aviation secretary said: "The result of the auction was exceptional. It proves the country is on steady footing and it's attracting great interest from foreign investors."
